I’m finally starting to get settled in. Today is the 11th day. I’ve been overloaded with homework already, so that’s been taking my mind off things a bit. Trade magazine is a real pain, but I’m happy that I thought of a good industry to cover; I picked florists. Not because I have any special flower expertise, but I just think it will be a fun topic. Or at least a not too painful topic.

It’s only September, and I’m already starting to worry about what’s going to happen after graduation, and how I’m going to get Colin over here. I still think it would be foolish to get married so soon, and it’s just not the way I want it to happen. The work visa thing doesn’t look like a real possibility anymore. There’s just way too much paperwork involved, and I don’t think many employers would be too eager to mess with all that. So now we’re looking at grad school for him. It seems like it could work out pretty well, if he can win one of these assistantships. I really hope he can pull it together and get this done. Because if not, we’re kind of starting to run out of options…

Will I be living in Ireland this time next year? I’d say it’s about a 50/50 chance right now.
