holidays on the emerald isle

I don’t have much to talk about right now. I’m just trying to get through this semester as quickly as I can. There are 79 more days now. I’m leaving the day after I get done with school, and if I could, I would leave the hour after I finish. It’s going to be really hard to make myself get on the plane to come back here when it’s all over. I would love more than anything to just blow off next semester and stay with Collie. But it’s just not practical. I’m so close to finishing that it would be stupid to quit now. This year is going to be a serious, serious test of my patience.

Colin has already been making a list of things for us to do when I get there. I want to see a bit more of the country this time, since I already spent the majority of my last trip in Dublin. My parents are coming for a week, and we’re going to drive out to Killarney the first day and spend a couple nights there. Colin wants to take a road trip with just me and him at some point, too. We might go to Wexford because it’s on the coast but not so far away as some of the other places we talked about. We also have invitations to visit Colin’s cousin in Northern Ireland, and to stay in his friend’s vacation home out in the country somewhere. One of my friends from Belleville is going to be in Ireland a couple weeks while I’m there, so I’ll get to show her all around Dublin. I want her to have some crazy nights out on the town with Collie and the gang, and let her see what the Irish are really like (—exactly how you always imagined them. There was never a more true stereotype than the drunken Irishman! Even Colin admits it.)

December, get here quicker!!!
