printer’s row on everyblock
My neighborhood is pretty much the Colmbia College neighborhood, so these places I’m finding on everyblock should be familiar to everyone in class. Here are a few mildly interesting things that have popped up…
The new CVS under the Library Towers applied for a liquor license. Now instead of paying way too much for beer just at 7/11, I can also do it at CVS! Speaking of 7/11, they’ve also been applying for some licenses lately, like “Tobacco Retail Over Counter.” I assume that this is actually the renewal of a previous tobacco license, given the number of smokers who normally crowd the nearby sidewalks.
The Orange restaurant (which is actually part of my building—I don’t even have to go outside to get there!) recently received a 4-star rating on Yelp. If it was me, I would’ve given them a 5. Best omlettes everrr. Sadly, the 5-star Yelp rating went to the recently opened Epic Hamburger instead.
There’s a condo for sale for $185,000 in my building, if anybody is interested in becoming my neighbor. Don’t be alarmed about all the recent crime going on…it is only a simple battery, after all.
